Edie In Action
Edie is becoming quite a character being almost 6 weeks...why time flies when you are having fun. She is fitting into our family just fine. She is gaining weight every week, and doing what babies do best...eat, sleep, and cry every few hours.

Danielle's B-day Present
Thanks for all the well wishes this b-day. As I turn 27 years old, one would think Eric and I would be hitting the town and livin' it up. However, our day consisted of taking to Edie to church, family nap time and chicken nuggets while watching the superbowl. It was a perfect day for me and I am so thankful for an awesome daughter and supportive husband / daddy. I really couldn't ask for anything else. I look forward to this 27th chapter of my life and thank God for all the delightful blessings He has given me and the many more to come.

My special b-day package...

Edie also had Aunt Hillary, Aunt Amy and Aunt Hayley stop by with Peter, Elisa and Noah. They were very excited to see her again. Peter made Edie a card which stated he is very excited to be her friend and wants to play and dance with her.
And here is Daddy and Edie doing what she likes best...sleeping.
Weigh in, Headbands and new friends
On Wednesday (one week old) Edie went back to the pediatrician to see if she could gain her weight back. Who knew I would be so excited to see 6lbs 4oz (from 6lbs on Monday). Usually newborns gain one ounce per day, but Edie (like her mother) is an over achiever. She is doing great and is starting to become a little fashionista.

As we were waiting in the hospital, I found that they had local radio stations on the in-hospital TV network, and one of them was 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago's True Oldies Channel. I called my friend Greg, who is the afternoon host, and by chance, it happened to be a "Baby Weekend." Interesting how radio works because my father heard this and called me right after he heard it.
Also, below is some pictures and video of Edie coming home for the first time. Enjoy!!!
